Christopher Chapman is a native of Jonesboro, Georgia. Chris graduated from Jonesboro High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel, with honors. After graduation he returned to Jonesboro and started a career in law enforcement, which led him to law school at John Marshall Law School in Atlanta. After graduation he was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2000.
He has been an attorney in Henry County and a member of the Henry County Bar Association since that time. In addition to Georgia, Chris is a member of the District of Columbia Bar and the State Bar of Kentucky. He has been admitted to all levels of State and Federal Court. Chris is a Past President of the Henry County Bar Association and a member of the Atlanta Lawyers Club, the American College of Equine Attorneys, the National Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys, and the American Association of Trial Lawyers. Chris was recently accredited by the Veterans Administration to assist veterans in obtaining benefits.
In addition to his experience in private practice and as a law enforcement officer, he also has the experience of being a prosecutor in Henry County, a Magistrate Court Judge for Henry County, a Municipal Court Judge for the City of McDonough and an adjunct instructor for several law enforcement agencies and police academies.
Chris is a member of multiple community and charitable organizations, as well as historical, genealogical and equine organizations. His hobbies include: living history activities, horseback riding, running, reading and spending time with his family. Chris is married to Melissa Chapman and they have one daughter.
