Elizabeth Pool grew up in Griffin, Georgia and graduated from Griffin High School in 1999. Elizabeth attended Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, Georgia where she was president of Alpha Delta Pi sorority, received Dean’s List honors, and was chosen as a member of Order of Omega honor society. After she earned her B.S. in Psychology in 2003, she worked for the Griffin-Spalding County School System as a recruiter, and the American Cancer Society as a fundraiser and program director.
Elizabeth attended Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law where she received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence and was on the Dean’s List. She served as the fundraising chair for the Association of Women Law Students and as Chair of the Mercer Advocacy Council which was comprised of the Moot Court Board, Mock Trial Board, Client Counseling teams, and Negotiations teams, and received the James C. Estes Award in recognition of her outstanding performance in Moot Court competition. Elizabeth earned her Juris Doctor degree and a certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research and Drafting in 2011.
Prior to graduating law school, Elizabeth interned for Griffin Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Tommy R. Hankinson, the Georgia Justice Project, and the law firm of Smith, Welch & Brittain, LLP. Elizabeth was admitted to the Georgia Bar in 2011 and began as an associate with Smith, Welch, Webb & White, LLC, at that time.
Elizabeth lives in Henry County where she is a member of the Henry County Kiwanis Club and volunteers as a Mock Trial coach for Eagles Landing.
