Melanie Niblett grew up in Lamar County, Georgia and graduated from the Lamar County Comprehensive High School with a college preparatory and vocational diploma.  In 2001, she graduated from Clayton College & State University with a Bachelor of Science in Administrative Management.  In 2002, she graduated from Clayton College & State University with a certificate in paralegal studies.  Following college, she attended Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. 

During law school, Ms. Niblett served as a peer mentor and on the ABA Law Student Division Board as a Lt. Governor of Mental Health and Wellness.  Ms. Niblett earned a Cali Award of Excellence for the highest grade in her Georgia Practice and Procedure class.  Ms. Niblett taught yoga classes in recognition of Mental Health and Awareness Day for the students and staff at Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School.

Ms. Niblett is a former paralegal who returned to law school 11 years after she first began to complete her juris doctorate degree.  She joined the firm as a paralegal in 2002.

Ms. Niblett is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Towaliga Bar Association, and has been sworn into the Supreme Court of Georgia.  Her civic and religious activities include Leadership Lamar 2009, volunteer opportunities for the Barnesville-Lamar County Chamber of Commerce, Jackson-Butts County Rotary Club, Rock Springs Church, and Rocks Springs Christian Academy.  She has also volunteered for the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer’s Foundation and the DeKalb Volunteer Lawyer’s Foundation.

When she is not advocating for her clients, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, outdoor activities, yoga, and volunteering.  Ms. Niblett is a certified yoga instructor.  She is an active member of her church in Milner.
