During his time at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, Casey participated in ROTC and was on the Dean’s List.  While in law school, he received the CALI Award (Best Paper Award) for Torts II, Constitutional Law I, Advanced Legal Research, Smart growth Zoning, and Trial Advocacy Class (Best Advocate) and was on the Dean’s List.  Additionally, he was a student editor for the United States Air Force Law Review and Dean’s Scholarship Recipient.

He has represented clients in numerous hearings, trials, and depositions throughout the State of Georgia and South Carolina, and is experienced in settlement negotiations and mediations.  Previously, he worked for a large Atlanta law firm defending Employers throughout the state in Workers' Compensation litigation.  In addition, he worked for the U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, where he represented the Agency in Employment law litigation. 

He also currently serves as a Solicitor for the City of McDonough, Georgia, where he prosecutes criminal cases. In addition, he is a registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, and mediates domestic, civil, workers’ compensation, business, and personal injury matters through various Court systems and via private selection across the state. 

He is a Captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve where he serves as an Assistant Staff Judge Advocate.
