Paralegal-McDonough Office

Smith, Welch, Webb and White, LLC, currently has an opening for a Paralegal in our McDonough Office. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of three years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal with emphasis on Corporate, Estate, Probate or Education law. This position is a full-time, benefits eligible position and the hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Requirements:

- Must be excellent with time management including adherence to deadlines.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Manage client files and organize information.

- Ability to manage and prioritize caseload in accordance to attorney needs.

- Must be proficient with computer and various operating systems including:

-Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

-Internet

- Ability to work nights and overtime as needed.

- Must be able to type a minimum of 65 wpm.

- Ability to bill paralegal time.

Preferable Qualifications:

- Experience with Lexis and Westlaw

- Experience with Probate, Wills and Estate, Corporate, Education or Municipalities

Requirements/Education:

Three years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal

Paralegal Certificate or Degree Preferred

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

 

Closing Paralegal- Barnesville Office

Qualified applicants will have at least three years’ experience as a Closing Paralegal.  Must also have experience with preparation of title insurance commitments and policies, title clearance, and disbursing and post-closing.  Must pay close attention to detail and be a team player.  Experience with Softpro and Microsoft Word skills preferred.  Position is in the Barnesville Office.  

 

Paralegal-Peachtree City Office

Smith, Welch, Webb and White, LLC, currently has an opening for a full-time Paralegal in our Peachtree City office. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience with Personal Injury and must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Requirements: 

- Ability to work effectively with little direct supervision

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work general office equipment

- Schedule meetings

- Must be able to draft letters and other legal correspondence

- Ability to manage and prioritize workload in accordance to office needs

- Must be proficient with computer and various operating systems including:

Microsoft Windows operating systems

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Internet

- Can do attitude

- Must be able to type a minimum of 50 wpm

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

3 years experience as a Paralegal

Preferred experience with Personal Injury
