Miranda Hanley grew up in the small town of Toccoa, Georgia. After graduating from Stephens County High School in 2008, Miranda went on the attend Kennesaw State University. While at Kennesaw State, Miranda competed in local and national mock trial competitions, was on the Dean’s List and President’s List, was a member of Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, cheered on the Owl’s Spirit Cheerleading Squad, and served as Social Chairwoman for the Zeta Omega Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority. Miranda graduated from Kennesaw State University in May of 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science.

After college, Miranda continued her education at Faulkner University, Jones School of Law. In December of 2014, Miranda graduated and received her Juris Doctor from Faulkner Law a semester early and in the top 20% of her class. While at Faulkner, Miranda was on the Dean’s List and received the CALI Award for Best Paper in Remedies, Advanced Criminal Procedure, Federal Crimes, and Family law. Miranda also competed on the mediation competition team, served as a BARBRI Student Representative, was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, served on the Board of Advocates, and completed a Judicial Clerkship with the 15th Judicial Circuit Court of Alabama. It was also during her time at Faulkner Law that Miranda’s dream of winning a national mock trial title came to fruition when she assisted her team in bringing home First Place at the National Civil Mock Trial Competition in Tallahassee, Florida in March of 2014.  

After joining Smith, Welch, Webb & White in 2015, Miranda has concentrated her practice in the areas of personal injury and workers’ compensation, but has also had great success in the areas of consumer law and mortgage servicing litigation. Miranda never misses an opportunity to get inside the courtroom and loves taking cases to trial before a jury. She is passionate about helping those who have been injured and goes out of her way to ensure that her clients receive full compensation for their injuries.

Miranda is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Georgia, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (“GTLA”), and the National Association of Consumer Advocates (“NACA”), and also serves as an officer of the Henry County Bar Association and as the Vice President of her neighborhood’s homeowner’s association.
